Galal Mohamed, PhD CEng (MIMechE)

Galal is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with over 15 years’ experience using finite element techniques for static, dynamic and non-linear analyses in the automotive and aerospace sectors. He is an expert user of Ansys LS-DYNA and the Oasys Suite and is responsible for providing technical support and training to customers. Galal has technical expertise in the design and damage assessment of lightweight structures made of FRP composite materials, as well as Human Body Modeling (HBM) and simulation in automotive and aviation engineering.

Modelling FRP composites in LS-DYNA

This webinar will expand on the topics covered in our previous 2018 composites webinar with attention given to pre- and post-processing composite analysis procedures and capabilities in the Oasys LS-DYNA environment.

Topics will include composite model set-up and post-processing incl. manipulation of element and material orientations, how to define zone-based and ply-based composite laminates, and key composite post-processing techniques.
