Course outline:
The Oasys LS-DYNA Environment includes a variety of powerful tools specifically designed for those working within pedestrian safety loadcases. This course provides an overview of the Oasys pedestrian impact workflow and detailed tuition on each of its components. Attendees are expected to be familiar with the loadcase generally but only a basic level of PRIMER experience is required.
Course content:
Oasys pedestrian impact workflow guidance including:
- PRIMER Pedestrian Markup
- PRIMER Model Build
- PRIMER & T-HIS head impact post-processing
- Automated reporting via REPORTER
- Head impact result interrogation using PRIMER, T-HIS & D3PLOT
- Pedestrian workflow v23 new tips and tricks.

This training course is suitable for anyone involved in pedestrian impact analysis.

Instructor Bio – Ben Crone
Ben Crone is an Associate at Arup with almost two decades of experience in automotive crash simulation and computer-aided engineering (CAE). A recognised LS-DYNA expert, Ben has worked extensively with the UK’s LS-DYNA community, providing training, technical support, and guidance to some of the largest user groups in the country.
In addition to his consultancy work, Ben contributes to the development of Oasys LS-DYNA Environment software, authoring several pedestrian impact tools within Oasys PRIMER, the industry-leading LS-DYNA pre-processor.
