We have received questions from some customers about the recent Apache Log4j vulnerability and can confirm:
Oasys LS-DYNA Environment: The library is not used by any of the Oasys LS-DYNA Environment Software, PRIMER, D3PLOT, THIS and REPORTER and is therefore not affected.
LS-DYNA: LS-DYNA has also not been identified as vulnerable; please log into your customer portal account at support.ansys.com for up-to-date information.
X-Formation LM-X: The LM-X licensing system used by the Oasys LS-DYNA Environment software is also not affected by the vulnerability.
Flexera FlexNet Publisher: The FlexNet Publisher licensing system “FlexLM” – used for Oasys LS-DYNA Environment versions earlier than 15.0 – does include the affected log4j files although they are not used in our standard installation. However, users of FlexLM are able to set up an alerts feature which does access the affected library.
We recommend all users upgrade to the LM-X licensing system for the Oasys LS-DYNA Environment as well as upgrading to the latest version of our software to benefit from enhanced functionality and bug fixes.
