The Minimum Area Discrepancy Method (MADM): A New Tool to Correlate Force Displacement Responses and Optimise CORA recommendations
The Minimum Area Discrepancy Method (MADM) script
The MADM introduces a method to calculate a correlation coefficient for “typical” force-displacement signals in order to rate how close they are to test response. The MADM correlation criteria utilise an area method and aim to maximise area overlap; a complete (maximum) overlap indicates perfect correlation.
MADM can also be used to differentiate between computer models which have a similar CORA value.
