This training course will provide a comprehensive overview of the Oasys PRIMER tools available for seat and dummy positioning and seatbelt fitting.
The online format will run as a series of 3-hour sessions over two consecutive days. The online course will be run using Microsoft Teams.

The majority of our online classes are free and we receive a lot of interest for them so we want to ensure we can accommodate as many requests as possible.

Oasys PRIMER Seat & Dummy Positioning and Seatbelt Fitting (online)
Learn more about Oasys PRIMER’s seat and dummy positioning and seat belt fitting capabilities from one of our expert users. The course uses a mixture of class demonstration, workshop examples and presentation.
Course Content:
- PRIMER Mechanisms – what they are, how to define them, how to position them. A prerequisite for easy seat positioning.
- PRIMER Occupant Positioning – covering both PRIMER and LS-DYNA methods for positioning occupant models, including seat squash simulation.
- PRIMER Seatbelt Fitting – starting from scratch, users will learn how to set up a seatbelt system using both 1D and 2D elements types.
- PRIMER Seatbelt Refitting – building on fitting, users will also learn how to quickly refit seatbelts when occupant positions are updated.
- PRIMER Seatbelt Advanced Tools – all advanced seatbelt tools will be discussed

For Oasys and LS-DYNA users wishing to position seats, dummies and fit or re-fit seatbelts using Oasys PRIMER.
Course Fees:
This training course is provided free of charge to Arup’s Oasys or LS-DYNA clients on a first come-first-serve basis.
