Shift Deformed – Shortcut

TCF file that can set shift deformed for a given three nodes.

Often engineers will used shift deformed to view deformations about a given local system. Those that do this a lot will often always use the same three nodes, with fixed ID’s.

This little TCF file will activate a shift deformed for the hard coded node id’s.

To use it:

  1. Open in a text editor and modify the lines containing the text ‘1’, ‘2’ and ‘3’ so that the labels of your fixed nodes are used.
  2. Open d3plot and press ‘?’ on the keyboard to load up the shortcuts menu.
  3. Assign the tcf file to a shortcut key as a ‘command file’.

Now when you click the shortcut the shift deformed will automatically be defined.
