FAT Dummy Models

The WorldSID production dummy design was released in March 2004. The dummy measures accelerations of the head, upper and lower spine, shoulder, chest ribs, abdominal ribs, pelvis and arms. It also measures compression in the shoulders and ribs as well as rotation of the head, torso, pelvis and ankles.

DYNAmore GmbH, in conjunction with the German Association for Automotive Research (FAT), have developed several validated side impact dummy models based on physical Anthropomorphic Test Devices (ATDs) used in car crash testing.
